"Complete peace reigns equally between two mental waves."

ree

For most of us, the mind and body are rarely on the same page. They generally exist in their own orbits—out of sync with one another. Through intentional breath, which we harness during a yoga practice, we return the mind and body to a state of union. The word yoga, after all, means to yolk—or unite. When the mind and body are on the same page, stillness can emerge. Stillness is not reserved for the beginning of a yoga practice or the end of one. Pay attention to the space, the pause—the stillness—between postures. There is a calm that exists, if you are observant.
